Morgan Rives Makes History at the Vegas Shoot

Morgan Rives competing at the 2026 Vegas Shoot

Morgan Rives proved herself on one of archery’s biggest stages at the Vegas Shoot. For the first time in the event’s history, the Championship Compound Female competition featured a five-way shootdown, breaking from the traditional head-to-head format.

Morgan, alongside Alexis Ruiz and Taylor Miller, made history by becoming only the 10th, 11th, and 12th women in the 60-year history of the Vegas Shoot to shoot a perfect 900. Reflecting on the milestone, Morgan said, “I shot a perfectly clean 900, I’ve never shot higher than 898 in Vegas before. For me to just be able to shoot and score as well as I was shooting, I couldn’t have been happier.”

Heading into the shoot-down, Morgan stayed calm and focused. “After I dropped my first X, my only goal was to make a podium finish, and I did just that. I took it one X at a time… I shot three clean X's to secure that position.” Her strategy and composure helped her climb onto the podium, finishing in 3rd.

Shooting Gold Tip Triple X Pro Arrows, Morgan trusted her setup when it mattered most. As a proud member of Team Gold Tip, she represents the brand at the highest level. Congratulations to Morgan and all of Team Gold Tip for their standout performances in Vegas.
