#TeamGoldTip closed out the 2026 tournament season with a pair of championship performances at the First Dakota Classic.
Kyle Douglas earned 2026 NFAA Men's Pro Shooter of the Year honors and won the First Dakota Classic, while Tim Gillingham also finished on top in Compound Senior.
Kyle Douglas Claims Shooter of the Year and First Dakota Classic
Kyle Douglas capped off an outstanding season by taking the First Dakota Classic title and securing 2026 NFAA Men's Pro Shooter of the Year honors.
The win did not come easily. After struggling during warmups, Douglas turned things around when it mattered most and put together one of his strongest matches of the season.
"Sometimes the wins come easy and sometimes you have to work as hard as possible for every single arrow. This tournament was one of the latter.
I'm still not sure how I went from shooting as bad as I was warming up to shooting one of my best matches ever to win. All I can say is it's never over until it's over and give every arrow 100% effort no matter what."
That mentality carried Douglas through to the top of the podium and capped off an impressive 2026 season.

Tim Gillingham Takes Compound Senior
Tim Gillingham added another First Dakota Classic championship to the weekend, taking first place in Compound Senior.
Shooting Gold Tip Velocity Pro arrows, Gillingham put together another strong performance to finish the season on top.
"Well, pulled it off two years in a row. Can't wait to be done with the season and focus on other things for a bit."
