1st Leg National Triple Crown, IBO Bedford, May 18-20 Bedford, IN, the site of the 1st leg of the National Triple Crown is the first major venue for the International Bowhunters Assoc.. It is a very challenging course and in most years past, it is usually wet. This year, however, we had bluebird weather and Goldtip shooters responded with 1st place finishes in Pro Seniors, Male Bowhunter release, Advanced Hunter, Hunter, and the Cub class being dominated by young Garret Ayersman. Our very own shooting staff coordinator, Tim Gillingham came in second in the Pro Men’s class in his bid to win the Triple Crown and Shooter of the Year titles. “The Ultralight X-cutter’s out of my Mathews Apex is one of the best shooting setups I have ever shot he says.” The 323 FPS doesn’t hurt either. There is not a better arrow on the market for 3-d than the Goldtip Ultralights, whether it is the 600 for the women and youth shooters or the ever popular Series 22 and X-cutter for adult class shooters. Below are some of the results for the weekend. If you want to know why these shooters shoot Goldtip arrows just ask them at the next shoot. My guess is that they will tell you they are the finest shafts money can buy. 2nd PMR Tim Gillingham 7th PMR Levi Morgan 7th PFR Andrea Nicholson 1st PSR Les Bressler 4th PSR Jackie Caudle 3rd SPM Scott Burnside 1st MBR Greg Gonder 1st Hunter Justin Hoon 3rd Hunter Nathan Ayerly 1st Advanced Hunter Mike Ringer 2nd FHC Lea Haynes 3rd FHC Paulie O’Sheagan 2nd MCU John Inlow 2nd MCBH Phil Jacobs 1st Traditional Tyson Freiburger 2nd YMR 15-17 Tom Martinelli 1st Cub Garret Ayersman 2nd Cub Ryan Hawks 3rd Cub Taylor Campbell |
