2007 NFAA Outdoor Nationals Darrington, WA

Darrington, Wa, the sight of the 2007 NFAA Outdoor National Field Achery Championships is definitely a beautiful range and setting for an archery tournament. Turnout has been down at the National but it not really because of the format, which is very fun indeed but in my opinion the fact that it is a very long tournament running fo an entire week. Hopefully the NFAA will eventually change this to a three-day format where many more people can get the chance to experience a National Field Archery Championship. Gold Tip shooters are doing better every year in this discipline which has been dominated in the past by the perception that you need ultr-skinny arrows for field archery. Many shooter are finding that the Goldtip Prohunter and the Ultralights are exceptionally good field arrow that will outshoot and outlast anything our competitors can put on the market. In particular, Bob Gentry and Randy Brabec were both shooting Pro hunters in deciding first place in the Pro FS fingers class at the Nationals. It took a shootoff at 80yds to decide the winner and Bob came out on top. Mark Eaves also took 2ndin the Amateur FS class and Dennis Neely won the Senior Pro FS class which is one of the bigger classes in the Nationals. Dennis shoots Ultalight 400 Pro’s with 100 grain points in them. He has done extremely well in the couple of years he has shot for Goldtip. Here are the rest of the results
