3rd Leg IBO National Triple Crown Nelsonville, OH Jul 6-8 Nelsonville , OH is the final stage of the National Triple Crown which decides who will leave with the coveted IBO National Champion belt buckles. The MBR clas, one of the biggest in the IBO has been dominated all year by GoldTip shooter and this one was no exception. Greg Gonder won the National Triple Crown and Elwin Dillon took the first place check in the tournament. GoldTips Pro Staff manager Tim Gillingham came into the Triple Crown race with a 9 point lead and gave it all up to a persistant Darrin Christenberry and was trailing by 2 going into the final 10 targets. He hung tough an squeeked out his first National Triple Crown win by only 1 point. Ron Smart in the Senior Pro division came in with the 1st place check and was he ever beaming. In the Cub class we had a total sweep with the top three spots being swept by Goldtip shooters who are getting their archery careers off on the right foot. Garrett Ayersman led the class and finished with the Triple Crown Championship. Remember parents, all kids classes win gift certificates for top three places in their class as long as there are 6 shooters in the class. Some of these kids never have to buy an arrow.
