ASA Pro/Am Augusta , GA April 27-29

It may have been the Easton Pro/Am, but Goldtip shooters ruled the weekend with an outstanding performance in the Men’s Pro and Senior Pro divisions. Seven out of 10 shooters were Goldtip shooters with both divisions being won by Goldtip shooters. The big surprise was Ben Rogers who showed up with some new Goldtip X-cutters that he had bought that week and won the tournament in the Senior Pro division. I think he’s sold. Ten first place finishes from Goldtip shooter made for a great weekend for Goldtip on what is one of the nicest places to shoot that we have on the tour. The distances were very long with the Pro courses averaging over 42-43 yards. The scores are kind of discouraging to some but understand that shooters are sometimes reaching the point where 14 rings is the only way to make the shootoff and so when they go for it, it usually doesn’t work out and their scores drop off dramatically. But, at least the 14 is there if you can get hot! Here is how it all turned out. Congrats to everyone!
