Veteran bowhunters have many opinions on what arrow weights and broadheads work best. I don’t think there’s one definitive, correct answer. Big bucks have been killed with light and fast arrows and big bucks have been killed with heavy, slow arrows. For me, I like something around 400 grains for my compound and 500 grains for my recurve. That’s what works for me.
